Dougie Scobie Head Chef Lands of Loyal

Verity has owned the hotel since August 2008 but only became a hands on live-in manager in February 2010. Her dedication to the hotel in the last two years has brought great benefit and character back to the operation.

She has 10 years experience of the traditional Scottish country house hotel market having at one time managed three at once. You can follow her on Twitter and on facebook to hear first hand news of the hotel and its latest successes as well as its challenges.

Dougie is a chef who over the years has developed a confidence that helps him to lead a strong reliable brigade of chefs.  Many of his team have worked under his leadership for many years and still return for more!  His talent for cooking is undeniable and his standards are consistently high, weather he is inspecting a delivery of vegetables or putting the finishing touches to a fine dessert.

Cameron House Hotel, Gleneagles, Ballathie and Raemoir House Hotel all feature strongly on his CV.
