In this part of the world you are never far from a Golf Course, there are three in Alyth alone and plenty more within very easy reach including the mighty courses at St. Andrews, Carnoustie
and Gleneagles.
Golf: Lands of Loyal has good relations with all the local
courses particularly the three in Alyth; Strathmore, Alyth and Glenisla. We are always happy to help with
golf arrangements, advice and bookings especially Robert Briers our General Manager who is himself, an ex pro Golfer.
We offer a golf club and boot cleaning service,
including grip care, and if you don't want to
carry your clubs home, we can arrange for them
to be sent there for you.
Racing at Perth: for a wonderful family day out spend
a day at Perthraces, there are meetings held from April to end of September. This
beautiful
course is only 25 minutes from the hotel, with an easy route that jumps
the queue!!

area around the hotel is amongst the finest for
these field sports. We can put you in

Walking: Walking in the beautiful
Angus/Perthshire glens is very special experience. The well known Cateran Trail passes the hotel door. This is a circular walk that follows a 4/5 day long trail used by The Caterans, who were best known for theiving cattle and generally being lawless in the 17th Century. They are all gone now and you can enjoy your walk in peace through Glen Isla and Strathardle before returning through Glen Shee and Glen Isla back to Alyth. In October each year there is the Blairgowrie Walking festival.
Skiing: is only 30 minutes away at Glenshee. Skis and equipment can be easily hired from Blairgowrie
